Abstract:
»This work focuses on a painful episode related to the brutal rapes committed by Moroccan soldiers of the French army (the Goumiers) against the Ciociara women during World War II. This study aims to denounce this forgotten chapter of Italian history and break the wall of silence that has long deprived the victims of justice and recognition. By bringing to light these dramatic events that caused physical torture and psychological abuse to the Ciociara women (known as “marocchinate”), the objective is to prevent and combat similar acts of violence in the future.«
